Hi,
I am trying to figure out how to make windows appear correct in a Plan View when you place them in a slanted wall in Revit 2021. The window itself should also be slanted. We work with multiple libraries and in one library the wondows appear correct, but in an othet library the windows does not appear correct. See the attached model.
W_1 and W_1_2 is the same window apart from a generic annotation wich is removed in W_1_2. We use that annotation (an arrow) to show what room the window belongs to if we use them between two rooms. The generic annotation seems to mess upp totaly how the window appears in plan view when slanted. Why is that?
W_3 comes from an other library and appears correctly. I want the W_1 or W_1_2 to appear in the same way but I can not figure out how. The cut plane for the window does not show right. We have som detail lines and masking regions in the families and I have tried to accosiate them with other ref planes but without luck.
What you are looking at in Plan View is Detail Line Work -- not Model Geometry.
To correct: You need to Edit Family and make Geomtry Visible in Plan/RCP and remove the Detail Linework/Masking Regions from the Plan View.
Well, the window W_1_2 shows correctly in Plan View, more or less. The problem is that the placement of the window ends up wrong. If you look att the example model, you see that the Window W_1_2 is not placed in the cut like W_2 is. Both W_1_2 and W_2 contains symbolic lines and masking regions so that should not be the problem.
And Why is the symbolic arrow (Generic annotation) messing up the window W_1?
I think this might need to escalated to the Revit developers.
Have you found a resolution for the slanted windows not displaying properly when cut in plan view?
