Windows Dimensioning

If I change the size of the window using it's properties, it scales from the center.

Is there a way to scale it from either side, if, for instance, I want to keep it aligned with an object.

If I align a window with another object, usually the will shrink or stretch to accommodate. Other times it will not change size, but shift in place. Why is this? How can I control this?

The same applies to adjusting dimensions that define the windows place relative to other objects.

Change the Location of the Origin Ref. Plane to the Right or Left Side, Pin it, and Remove the Equality Dimensions.

I think I misread your question, @jfjacques . Are you asking why windows "grow" from the middle outwards sometimes and other times from the left or right?  I would suspect you have a constraint on the right or left side, such as a dimension, which is preventing it from "growing" in both directions.  Reveal Constraints to find out what it is.

No this is it.  How do I access the origin ref plane?

Actually, you don't even need to change the Origin. Just PIN the "Right" or "Left" Ref. Plane in the Family to make it "grow" in one direction.

BTW: "Defines Origin" is a Ref. Plane Property.
