Windows and doors do not cut wall

I have taken over a revit project from the previous creator and there seems to be a problem only when i place windows. All previous windows and doors apear as they should, except for the ones i place. All the parameters are the exactly the same and the window is the same type as the others show, i can only see the window sill and the outline of the wall opening:(

Hard to say without experimenting with file. Two things I can think off the top of my head. 

1. Are there two walls layered? The walls will need to be joined for the window families opening cut to cut both walls. 

2. Check window family opening cut. Is it an opening cut or a void. Perhaps something weird going on here. 

Generally, when I get issues like these, I try to narrow down why it's happening by experimenting. Open a new file, load the window family in, apply it to a new wall. See if problem repeats, and start messing with things.

Weirdly eveything seemed alright, i just had to delete the wall and place the exact same window and wall again and now it works:/
