I have a parameter in my window schedule, which is just tick box so when i click on window i can get it tick a box to display as a fire window in my schedule(see below)
I would like to incorporate this with a text parameter so in my plan views so when the box is ticked it would display "Fire window" ( as below)
So i need to write an if statement this is where i am abit lost. A) when i have created the text in the family i dont see any option to associate with a parameter. B) i basically need a formula that reads if fire window ticked display fire window text. Can anyone point me on right track? Thanks
Normal text insnt visible outside of the family editor, so you need to use a label. Then you can just set the visibility to on/off with your check box.
(as a quick test i copied the "W" label from the out of the box washer family into a window family and it worked)
Ok thanks i have now figured it out, i created a generic family annotation and loaded this into my window family but do you know how i can align this in a family as when i load into my project the text goes flying out position
