The OTB window tag relatively located ok on plan view. We also place window tags on elevation views with the same tag. When using "tag all" they are automatically located in view without any order/fashion which take more time to adjust.

Wonder if there is a way to have them automatically located just below the window sill line ? Making a different tag is also ok as long as they are located as such.

you can adjust the tag place but it is worked for all sort of objects and you can not adjust to edge of windows for example , the automatic adjustment point is the central point of tag family and central point of object like door or windows.

watch the small screenrecord:

and this is only work in Elevation if you use this tag in plan view so you have problem to adjust them or if you have the windows with different width, indeed you should adjust them by yourself.

or maybe you should write some code for them.

Tags always place at center of the modeled elements imaginary bounding box. It would be nice if you could specify this with a ref plane in the family but unfortunately not.

If you move the tag label and line sin the tag family it will only work for a window of that one height and at that one view scale and only in elevation as @azad.Nanva said.

The only thing I can think of doing is to add a ref line below the window in the family and constrain it with the height parameter, then add an invisible detail line that is locked to the lower ref line. This way when the window gets higher the detail line stretches lower keeping the  imaginary bounding box center at the sill.

Not sure how this will affect plans though this invisible line is now stretching below the associated level so plans below may have cut planes that intersect this line and show the window on the wrong level.

Being able to place a "Tag Insertion Point" within a family would be wonderful... Pretty sure there have been ideas posted for this, but maybe not.
