I don't understand why the program insists on displaying the windows incorrectly when I already fixed on the floor plans and family. Is this something i have to fix on family editor or on the project? are there some special options or settings to adjust for the legend display? what steps should I follow?
Some windows on my project were not visible because they are way too high from the cut plane. I fixed them by creating some plan Regions and asjusting their view range. Then I edited the Family's cut plane in order to have it visible on the floor plan. The window is looking correct on the floor plan.
Now when i created some legends for the windows, they look odd again , and some parts are hidden.
Both windows are from the same family but the one of the top does not display correctly and is the same window i referred previously. It should look like the one in the bottom
As you can see on the image below i already fixed how the window looks on the plan. I created a plan region and adjusted the cut plane and I also adjusted the cut plane on the family editor.

Looks like you need to add detail items or symbolic lines to your family so it should be consistent regardless of the cut plane.
you need to add symbolic lines in your window family . see attached. thanks
so you are telling me I have to redraw the whole window again with the symbolic lines like a mask on a 3d imported file?, and what about line weights? why should I place symbolic lines on a family that I created on revit.. I can understand to do it on a 3d model imported from any other program, i think it has to do with the cut planes, because the other windows look perfectly fine.
I openned the Revit project you attached then I openned the family but I could not find the symbolic lines ? how did you fixed it, the wall vain is still not visible though.
Turn off Walls category - problem solved. Or edit the family and set the cut plane to an elevation that cut through every type.
By the way, you seems to repeat information on your drawings. Not just from this one but from other posts as well.
if i were you, I just need one elevation of one of those types to cover all information needed, something like the below:
I understand your point is too much info displayed . I´m just learning how to use the program, that is just an excercise I´m doing. I already fixed the cut plane to cut through all types on the family editor and I also added some plan regions because the windows where having the same issue on the floor plan which I already fixed. I just want to know how to fix it on the legends, I understand that you do not like the presentation I´m doing, but it is just an excercise, and it is really frustrating that I cannot fix how they look on the legend, why something so easy cannot be done automatically. Why is revit not displaying it correctly, when I already fixed that freaking cut plane on family editor.

please see attached and see if helps. thanks
thanks man. So, no need to lock those lines in place?, hehe I got confused with that convert lines button, I´m going to do a little research about its function. I guess i have to use this method... though I believe that it can be done without doing those lines, like their is something that i messed up on the family, Once I find out I will post it.
thanks again, it really is an immediate solution..
