window does not make a hole in the wall as expected

hi i have created walls, joined joined them, but when i put a window only part of the wall respond.

Are the walls in the same Phase?  

Is you Window using an Opening Cut or a Void Cut. If Void, check "Cuts with Void When Loaded" and reload the Family and manually cut the second Wall with the Window using "Cut Geometry" tool.

you have 2 walls stacked on top of each other? one at the lower level and one at the upper level. the window will only cut the one it is placed in. you can either extend the walls to span the levels or edit the profile of the lower wall to allow for the opening.

when i join walls together what that actually means? 

i thought that means they becoming one wall.isnt that true?

unfortunately no.... The "join" is more of a visual clean up. it does not physically weld them together as a new element.

Check the category of Window and check it has Opening Cut also
