No, the whole group will not be automatically created as a Block in the dwg-file. When you have linked files in Revit and export, then you can have a "group of elements" become a block inside of AutoCAD.
what consist of your Model Group Elements ? it become blocks. if you will go to autocad 3d view you will see them with height if export in 3d view . thanks
it only consists model lines, I've tried to export it and it was indeed in a block. but thank you.
oh pardon me.. the "grouped model" i was saying was actually imported cad blocks and exporting them to cad again from revit did make them a block.
once you import or link cad into revit it will become one entity (group) and once you exported to autocad still the same one entity. but once you link/import cad file into revit and use full explode and exported to autocad then your file is also exploded. thanks
Hi, can you explain with more detail how can I export a Revit model file to a CAD file and keeping all the "families" as blocks. We have our Electrical model uploaded in BIM and the Architectural linked to it. Any thoughts? I will appreciate any help. Thank you!
Hi there,
this is not a solution if it's not possible to export grouped elements in blocks in dwg-files.
it's all autodesk!
