When modifying an element (or doing a number of other common tasks) that results in an "Invalid Dimension" that must be deleted, why is the "Show" button almost always greyed out?
The functionality exists to show it... If you go the Manage tab and click "Select by ID" you can enter the ID of the dimension (shown to you in the "one or more dimensions have become invalid" dialog box), you can then almost always click "Show" and it will take you to the view it exists in and highlights it for you. So my question is why can't Revit show me this from the dialog telling me which dimension it wants to delete? Making me write down the IDs and then manually search for them is such a waste of time.
I believe having Revit keep these dimensions has been on the "Ideas" board for several years now, but we won't get into that...
That sounds like a question for the developers. We users can only speculate.
You can always export the error reports and copy/paste IDs.
