Why will my demolition phase walls not show up?

I have set my floor plan to show all filer with:

new walls by category

demo walls set to a light grey in my graphic overrides.

existing walls set to black lines.

New and existing walls show up but demo walls will not show up in my floor plan.

Any ideas?

Below I included a demo plan so you can see where my demo walls are.

This looks like it relates to one of my favorite Revit phrases:

"Demo is not a phase"

This is an oversimplification but when I look at your screenshots, I see a DEMOLITION phase for one of the views. I am guessing this is BEFORE your NEW CONSTRUCTION phase. The way Revit wants to work with demo work is that it is actually happening during New Construction, because, it kinda is.

There are many reasons to create a Demolition phase, but for minimal work in a standard Revit model, you may be over complicating things by having one. One way I like to explain it is that when you change View phases you are travelling through time. By the time you get to your model's New Construction, all the elements from your Demolition phase no long exist, so that's why they don't show up. They aren't there. At all.

if you change those elements Phase Demolished parameter to New Construction, I bet they will show up.

As @JasonKunkel mentioned. You need to set phase to new construction and the phase filter to set how to show demolished elements based on the phase override settings ie. dont display/bycategory or according to override setting, related/compared to the previous phase' situation.

I will assume your walls are set to phase created: existing, and phase demolished: demolition.

Your plan is then set to phase: new construction, and filter set to show all.

Because you have 3 phases you are not seeing the wall that are demolished in the demolition phase.

Technically the walls are demolished between phase existing and demolished.

No walls are being demolished between phase demolition and new construction, they already don't exist.

Phase filters only look at the current phase and the previous phase. They cannot look back 2 phases.

This is why you should only have 2 phases as @JasonKunkel said.
