Before the Revit purists come back with 'Revit is not AutoCAD' - A rectangle is a polyline, a hexagon is a polyline, and Autodesk has seen fit to include these shapes in the Draw Panel.
If I'm creating a component in place, say a cabinet door, and it's elevation is an L shape (or any custom shape - this is for a wall of cabinetry with odd-shaped panels), why, under 'Edit Extrusion', do I have to draw each custom shaped extrusion profile with these goofy single lines? The command doesn't even continue in a sensible way.
I'm learning slowly, but this sort of thing is driving me crazy. Is there a faster way to draw shapes?
have you activated Chain? Activating Chain it will work as a polyline..

OMG, Thank you very much for that. You have made my day. Learning this on my own it's been a long and painfully slow process, this will speed things up.
