Hello everyone,
Why doesn’t my Revit 2018.2 Material Browser Dialogue Box open?
It does opens in the 2017.2 version.
Already tried anything listed online and even installed the Windows 10 OS again. didn't help either
After installing Revit on a clean OS and still having the same problem, i’m starting to believe that the problem is not only in my Revit.
Anyone with a Soulution?
Thanks in advance!

@Anonymous hello, you can follow this thread "Revit 2018 No material browser". thanks
Hallo ennujozlagam, as you can see in my Post, i have already posted this link as one that doesn't have any solution. Thanks anway
Hi @Anonymous
Thanks for alerting me to this thread.
I'm sorry to hear that you are still facing issues.
1.Can you confirm if you have the latest updates for your Revit version?
2. Is Revit the only application running when this issue occurs?
Please send us your journal file to investigate further.

I have a Revit 2018.2 install that won't open the Materials dialog box. I already uninstalled, did a pretty good cleanup, fresh install and the issue remains.
Answering your questions Viveka
1. The computer is on:
18.2.0.51
20170927_1515(x64)
2018.2
2. And Revit is the only application running
Let us know if you have any suggestions please.
Install the nVidia GeForce driver version 353.62. Do not install any other version.

Thank you for the suggestion ToanDN!
I did see that solution. The problem is the card is AMD Radeon HD 8790M and Intel(R) HD Graphics 4600, not nVidia.
The other solution I came across was to wipe out the whole station.
I hope there is a better alternative
Find a AMD driver circa late 2015 and see if it works. If it does then you can try newer versions until it breaks. If it doesn't then I have no idea.
Install the nVidia GeForce driver version 353.62. Do not install any other version.

I have a weird theory but since you reinstalled the whole thing I am not so sure anymore...
Could it be you had previously plugged two monitors while working on Revit and your material browser is "lost" on the second monitor?
That's my best shot.
We have to investigate further by looking at your journal file. Let me know if you can share and I'll provide you a private folder if you'd prefer.

In my case we determined that was caused by uninstalling the Materials libraries.
Great. Thanks for getting back.

Looks like I need to replace my graphics card. Discovered the AMD FirePro V4900 isn't recommended. Thanks for your support!
