I'm thinking perhaps you need to join the column to the floor and then use the Join's "Switch Join Order" tool to get the column to drop down through the floor substrate & finish. You would likely need to add a bit of extra depth to the column's base offset.
do u mean that revit by default used to stop structural column on the finishing layers of floors ?
I'm not sure the exact reasoning for this behavior but yes this is typically what Revit will do, but the process to correct it is simple enough. Just add the finish and substrate depth to your column and then join them.
it costs 17$ , isn't there any free tool ?
please clarify that
Sure.
On the Modify tab, there is a button Named Join. Just to the right of this button is a tiny little downward facing arrow, click that and you will see 3 buttons stacked. Use the Join button itself to join the column to the floor as stated above, then use the Switch Join Order button stacked under Join to get the column to penetrate the floor finishes.
