Why can I not add a "mark" to certain walls?

I need to add a mark to a wood wall with wood siding but it is greyed out and I'm not able to add this?

Why might this be?

Is it a basic wall? if yes, it could be because it is in a linked model. In such case

  1. Either open the linked model and add the Mark therein
  2. OR copy monitor the wall to your model and Mark that one

PS: In the future, If you would add a screenshot it would make it easier to understand what is happening at your end

To wrap this one up based on other posts/questions you posted...System Stacked Walls does not offer the option to add Mark or Type mark. To add a Mark to the stacked wall components:

  1. Select Stacked wall
  2. Right click >> Break Up

Components of the Stacked Wall assembly can then receive individual Mark or Type Mark
