Who will build a product to compete with Revit? How about something with backwards compatibility

Someone please for the love of God.  Tell me.  I've used Revit since version 6 -- since before it was bought by Autodesk -- and the problems it had then, it still mostly has.  I'm tired of drawing with Revit's blunt Crayola crayon:  cumbersome drafting, repeating myself needlessly project after project after project, duplicating text styles and filled region types, trying to manage disappearing elements and dimensions because a cryptic error message told me it was apparently happening -- "Surprise!  Something Was Removed in Your Documents For Reasons Unknown!  Can You Guess Where?!  Nope, Neither Can We!"

Cool.

Thanks for the overpriced, crap product your technological slavery forces me to use every working day!

Yeah, I tried ArchiCAD a long time ago.  Maybe I should revisit it.  How to get the large company I work for to adopt it would be the real challenge.  Autodesk has its meat hooks in deep.

If you believe it's going to be a cost & time saving to the business then surely they'll make the change?
