Hi I am making 3D vector diagrams for a project - Simple massing models to show circulation, site analysis. But I'm confused as to where to store these.
Option 1 - Create a new separate file from my main model file (surely not)
Option 2 - Create a view in the project browser and keep them there (but i can see the main model in here too...) And the diagrams are showing in all other views now unless I deliberately hide them...(surely not either,...)
So where else is there to keep these diagrams?
Keep them in a separate phase, preferably a phase prior to even existing phase (demolish them in the existing phase), or after the last phase (no need to demolish, but set these diagram views to show New Only).
Either way. I really depends. But you could Link your Building Models Projects into another Project (maybe the Site Project) and create your Masses in the Parent Project by "tracing" the Link Projects. Essentially what you would do regardless.
If you do it this way, establish Shared Coordinates between the Projects.
...note: this is something you could do later on, down the road too. Either Save the Masses out of the Project to a stand-alone Project, or Link them in and Bind them to the Project if they are in a separate Project. Bottom line: you're not damned if you do or damned if you don't.
