Hi, All. I'm trying to reinstall Revit 2020 for my one-seat subscription. I get a brief message that says to make sure that 7 files download. But only 1 file downloads. There's no mention of what to do if I don't get 7 files.
Any thoughts on how to get all 7 files?

I was able to download all seven files and (finally!) install the app... But it won't launch. Even after reinstalling the License Manager Update and restarting Windows, I get the error message that the License Manager is not working or is not installed. I checked Task Manager and it is indeed running.
Any more ideas?

Thanks, Viveca. I read the article you suggested, but I don't have LogMeIn on my laptop. I also read the additional links at the bottom of that article. Still won't launch.
I'm running out of ideas. Maybe I should do a complete uninstall and delete all Autodesk files and folders instead of just the ones in the uninstall instructions. But I'm not sure what to delete from the registry...
Viveca, since it can't be LogMeIn, do you think Avast Premier and Avast Cleanup Premium could be the problem? I turned off each security feature I could find: File Shield, Behavior Shield, Web Shield, Mail Shield, Fire Wall, Real Site, and Ransomeware Shield. (I didn't know I had so much protection).
The whole problem started when Avast Cleanup asked if I wanted to delete one of the minor Autodesk apps that I never use. I like a clean machine so I said yes. It then deleted Revit. It only left a few shreds so it must have been an ugly uninstall. Reinstalling has been even uglier.
Anyway, I only offer that in hopes that it might contain a clue for the problem. Thanks for helping.

Please try to disable Avast and then try a clean uninstall and reinstall of Revit
In order to avoid this issue, follow the steps in the following link in order to set up a new rule ( or exception) for Revit in Avast firewall configuration: Setting up Firewall Application Rules in Avast Antivirus.
Let me know if this helps.

Viveca,
These are very helpful links. I have actually gone through all of these steps more than once and each time it ends with successful installation - but Revit 2020 still won't launch. I still get the error message about Licensing Manager not functioning.
I have followed instructions on how to fix that and all of my settings are already as recommended. Except I now see that there is no license data file. The C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\ folder is empty. I would like to create a new data file but I can't find my product key. Since I have a single-seat subscription, do I even have a product key? Where would I find it? Or else what should I name the license data file?

Viveca, thanks for hanging in there. This ordeal has been pretty horrendous at my end.
Right now I'm backing up my laptop. As soon as that's finished I will do a wipe and reinstall of Windows 10. I'm a Mac user, with only Revit and Avast in my Windows partition. I'm planning to reinstall Revit 2020 first and then Avast. Maybe this will be nice and clean and I won't need to impose on you. I'll send you an update.

Sure @biztrobill Let me know how it goes!
Good Luck.

Viveca,
I'm up and running now. Thanks for offering the screen share but I won't need it this time.
Here's what finally worked. I uninstalled Windows 10 (in Parallels 14) and reinstalled. That gave me the clean slate I needed to do a simple "Install Now" for Revit 2020.
Thanks again,
Bill
