What's the point of being able to associate parameters to a column top offset if we can't use negative numbers in formulas?

Hi guys,

My goal is to associate family parameters of a top offset in a column with different family types, and those offsets will always be negative numbers.

Is there a way?

Wait a minute...you want to associate parameter values of one family with other families/types? That's what Global Parameters are for.

Why do you say you can't use negative numbers? Are you using 'integer' instead of 'number' in type parameter, perhaps?

Sure you can use negative numbers in a formula or in a global parameter.  Or do you mean you want a positive value out of the negative value, to use for something else such as a dimension?
