There are no building pads anymore, instead, we will use mass model and cut operations.

I think the new topo system is about 10 steps forward and 2 steps back. Overall its a much better system, but there are a handful of new issues they created with it. I think they'll definitely need to incorporate a more integrated system for cutting voids in topography rather than manually modeling them. That's going to cause issues for some people.

 

They also really need the new subdivisions to be able to sink into the topo and allow slab edges to border them. Then we can finally model roads/parking lots/etc without splitting surfaces and using railings.
