I plan on purchasing a license for Revit LT because I don't need all the features that Revit offers. However, Cloud Rendering seems to be the main method to render images in Revit LT since there is no stock rendering. Is there any alternative to this such as exporting the model and rendering in a different engine, or is the Cloud Rendering my only option? I would prefer to render the images myself.

... hi @Anonymous
... there are several ways for rendering :
... you could render in lumion
... also twinmotion
... you can use vray for revit
... you can export to 3ds-max
... but my recommendation would be with enscape

Revit LT won't accept any Plugin. So you have to use 3ds max and open the Revit file and render from there or export the Revit model as IFC and use blender (freebie) to render
