What is the best way to recreate shop front in Revit?

Hi,

My brief is to replicate the shopfront as shown in the attachment, in Revit and I'm not sure the best way to do this.

Initially I've started out with a curtain wall with appropriate mullions placed to create the divides between the large 4 windows and the wooden panels.  I then added additional curtain walls for the large window pane to the left of the door but the curtain walls did not trim at all. I also edited the profile for the arch on the right.  I then realised I had no idea how do put a door in and after that how I was to fill in the gap above the door in the recess!!

I wondered whether you should use a curtain wall across the whole front and whether there were any tools to recess the door and cutout the arch???

I wondered whether each pane should be separate glass and wood panels???

Basically I haven't a clue so I'd appreciate some guidance as to how you guys would tackle this - are there any tools for wood paneling / is curtain wall the correct tool or is there another?

Thanks

I would go with regular column, walls, floors, roofs, ceilings, doors etc. Get the basic building shape right first.

Roof can handle the gutter and slanted facia.

Unique face-based families for the wall scupper and downspout, as well as the birdhouse style decorative tops above the columns.

Windows upstairs.

Embedded storefront style curtain walls downstairs. Get the layout and the gridlines right first. Default it to glass panels. Then start making special mullions and wood panels to substitute in the desired locations.

The part below can be done using curtain walls.  You need curtain wall door and curtain window families, not regular ones.

OMG Smiley Surprised

Being kind of new to Revit, I wasn't expecting it to be as complicated as that!!

I've looked at your suggestions however I don't seem to have wooden column family or any curtain walls or door families loaded.  I can see from the video that you have to load them but I don't have them available on my HDD.  Is there somewhere you have to download them from?  Are generic (or specific) families which can be downloaded and installed?  Are they free or paid for?

Thanks for your help guys.

Curtain wall doors in the Doors family library.  Same goes for Windows.  You can modify or create new families based on those, or from a blank Curtain Wall Door/Window family template.

Posts are profiled mullions.  You can create different profiles from Profile-Mullion family template for custom shaped ones.  Otherwise you can modify the size of the few loaded profiles to what you need.

Do a google search for "storefront curtain wall revit sample" see anything turns up.
