What is effecting the visibility of glass?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me what is effecting the visibility of the glass in the screenshot below.

All of the windows have glass material, yet they all look different.  The green highlighted line is actually part of a wall so even the glass isn't entirely opaque.  You can see what I mean with the two red highlighted windows - the top one you can see the wall behind and the bottom one you cannot.

I'd ideally like the illusion of glass yet block out any visibility in the room behind.

Edit the window family, select the opening cut and uncheck Transparent on Elevation box on the Option bar.

Thanks for this.  I've got it to work for these windows however there are another two I'd like to do this with but cannot see how.

The first is a family which I've attached.  I cannot see an opening on here so not sure whether it is hidden and I cannot find it or wherther it is not possible to do it to this family in this way.

The second is a curtain wall.  I cannot seem to be able to edit the family so again not sure whether you need a different approach?

Thanks

I am the road so can't open the family. Perhaps the family has voids instead of opening cutting the host.

As for curtain walls, they don't adhere to the same rule as windows so they will show transparent if the material is transparent.  If you don't want to see through curtain walls, uncut them from the wall and place a door or window family with just an opening cut, width and height controlled by instance parameters so they can be resized in the project, and set the opening cut in the family to not transparent on elevation.
