Weird roof joining issue

Hello, I hope you're all having a fantastic day! I do not know how to explain my issue besides screenshots, so here they are

Basically, I want to get rid of that weird extension to the other side of the roof. I tried using vertical opening to clear out that area, but it did not work. Any suggestion is appreciated, thanks a lot!

Post your RVT file and I'll show you.

Make the main roof as 2 pieces and join the dormer roof to one.

Thanks a lot, worked very well! I also want to remove the red part, is there a smarter/easier way to do it without changing the footprint of the roof?

There's more than one way to skin a cat.

Screenshot shows two differently pitched roofs - having  different plate heights (Offset for Roof Base) - intersecting. Revit is smart enough to do this as a mono roof.

What red part?  Can you share a pic?

Roof by Extrusion for that part.

Like this?  If so, it is easier to model it as one roof as @barthbradley said.  See attached 2022 file.

I am a bit confused now though, I am trying to remove/delete that part of the roof, not trying to add new part

Exactly, can you also share the blueprint, I couldn't recreate the same...

edit: Just saw your attachment, checking it

Then don't do roof by extrusion.   See my first Screenshot. That's all you need; right?

Thanks a lot for your time and help, but why do I have it this shape? Is it because my roofs are not perpendicular to each other? Because I am literally adjusting blueprints in the Revit file attached aboveCapture.PNGFxfG8TZRK9.png

edit: meh, I increased offset from roof base and it's fixed. Thank you so much for your patience! :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:

You can orient the roof however you want.
