Ways to show a Hanger Wall Above the Cut Plane

Just running some ideas into this representation issue that I guess is quite common, what is the easiest way to show a wall above the cut plan in a hidden line format that allows for the easiest update/changes later down the path?  If revit has a function that can project these lines to the level that it is constrained at via just using a property check box that would be great.  Thanks.

If you use a temporary underlay and look up you should be able to see the wall above.  You can then use the linework tool and click on those lines using the 'Overhead' linestyle.  Then remove the underlay.  The lines will update automatically if there are changes to the wall above.

Use one of the following and add the line work to be built in within the family:

  1. a generic model wall or face based opening (void cut)
  2. a Window or Door family (with wall opening element only)
