Hello,
Taking over a revit model that was already mostly drawn. Walls were not drawn continuously through the floors, so the top constraint is the level above it. in some instances, the wall on level 1, is set to go up to level 2, however it doesnt actually go up that high. So what you see (see image), is the wall come up short, then there is a 200mm gap were you can see the floor, then the next wall above it (which is properly positioned).... When I go and try to modify the profile, i get errors: "Constraints are not satisfied" and "Constraints defined by highlighted Lines and Dimensions can't be satisfied."
Theres a whole bunch of walls like that so I dont want to re draw them all
Any ideas as to what might be wrong?
Click on your walls, click detach top/base and select the floor you see there
Click wall and select detect all. This constraints refer to the top and bottom levels and sometimes they refer to dimensions that might be placed in the plan which are locked. so if you want edit profile it will show errors.
It looks to me like there is a "band joist" missing in the view. I'm seeing one on the left. Brick Faced. I looks like the building is Platformed Framed. What you are describing is Balloon Framing, which I don't think it is. Either way, it looks like the break between the Walls is actually filled another Wall type (e.g. same as one on left). That's my reading at least.
