Walls not appearing shaded.

hey Guys,

please bare with me as i am pretty new to revit. i have been working on a project (just a test) and have created a duct layout etc. i also created the "model" my self as we haven't yet won a Revit project.

whilst i was on my "Revit fundamentals" course there was a view "discipline" called " Co-Ordination" which when in use all items appeared as they should walls grey/rendered.... ducts shaded etc. also when using "selection box" the walls would appear as grey.

however in my model, they are purely white. could you guys help me out on how to amend this? i have tried to use Visibilty graphics to apply a solid grey hatched pattern but have had no luck. i have attached a print screen so you guys can see.

Hi @Anonymous, 

Hope you are well!  If I read your question correctly, you would simply want your 3D View to be set to Coordination? This will then result in your walls to be shaded. Go to your properties pallet and select the Coordination Discipline while in your 3D View.

I just thought of THIS POST which might be useful for you to read through regarding discipline views, mainly focusing on what happens in plan/ceiling views, but it is useful nonetheless.
