Hi,
I have created a special shape massing, upload it to the project.
the location of the massing can be change in all direction.
when I create walls by face, I can move them only on the same height the massing was located in.
is there a way to get rid of this constraint?
thanks.

Why don't you change the mass, select the walls and choose update to faces?
That's always bothered me too. You'd think Revit would be smarter than that. Oh well, Update to Face.
thank you both to the replies,
The massing i have created is planned to be a base for a light roof, so i need to add lots of them to the project. since the light roof is in a tilt i have to set each of there to a specific location and height.
so to change the mass for each of them is not relevant.....
i have choose the following way,
i loaded the mass to the project, copy it be array (without grouping) and then set each of them to the right position and than cover them with metal walls......
Hi
Easiest way would be to use " Structural Framing System "
Frames can be rotated in any direction, achieving desired slope etc..
each beam can be customised to required design...
Structural Framing with Beam
Customised Beam ( framing )
spacing and type
hi Ganesh,
is there an option to convert the massing i have created to " Structural Framing System " ??
or copying the structure (ref plans and so) to a new family based on " Structural Framing System " ?
thanks, Hagay
hi,
in the family templates there is no structural framing alone so i created it with the beam option,
although i have locked all parameters and dimension, when i loaded it to the project the shape was changed according to the length of the beam line and etc.
then i have created it with the "structural framing - Complex and Trusses and i could get a fixed dimensions shape in the project.
did you meant to create it in a different template?
