Walls don't show in RCP on one floor but do on another

I have a project where we've been working on Reflected Ceiling Plans, everything was working correctly untill yesterday.  Now the RCP works fine on the second floor but there are no walls (except curtain walls) showing on the first floor.  Everything is controlled by the same view template and the phasing is identical.  If I create a new RCP for the second floor everything is fine.  If I create a new RCP for the first floor things don't show, so it's something unique to the first level that is not controlled by the view template, but I have no idea what.  The view template controls EVERYTHING except the view scale, so both RCP's should look the same...but they don't.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Marcus

did you check view range?

is there a floor plan that looks correct that you can create a new view template from and use this on the plan in question?

Both plans use the same view template, and the template controls the view range. One plan shows "stuff" one doesn't.

If I create a new RCP based on the second level it's OK, if I create it based on the first level, it's not.

I'm baffled.

Thanks tho'

OK, this is what we FINALLY figured out.  I'll put it out there for future reference.  It turns out it's a "kind of" bug ... I think.

The view template was controlling the view range and things were set to LEVEL ABOVE.  I unchecked the view range in the template and then looked at the view range, what I got was LEVEL ABOVE (T.O. FDN) not SECOND LEVEL like I had expected.  So I manually set it to SECOND LEVEL and everything displayed properly. I deleted the T.O. FDN. level (we're not actually using it in this project) reopened the view template manager and re-checked to view range box and everything was fine for all levels.

Being one of those people that have to figure out "why" I looked a little closer at the model and noticed that T.O. FDN. and FIRST LEVEL (for this project - slab on grade) are at the same elevation (0'-0"). My theory is that when you have two levels "stacked" on top of each other Revit gets confused while searching the database and picks the next level listed in the database.  I suspect that when Revit compares levels it uses => instead of >.

Anyway that's what it took to make it play!

Thx a lot for posting the solution. Ran into the exact same issue and your solution worked. I had the same issue, I had a T.O.P. level set up that is at the same elevation as a roof elevation. Followed your instructions and voila... wall are showing up.
