so I'm having this issue where I need to make a series of micro adjustments to various walls to bring them into a dimension that I want them to be at. but regardless of what I do I can't seem to get that little special blue dimension that let's me move the wall.
From what I can tell I don't have any other dimensions locked, they aren't pinned, and they aren't being held in place by some other element. When I turn on the show constraints nothing appears.
If there isn't, it would be really helpful if Revit would allow you to highlight an element, and then (maybe through the right click menu), allow you to highlight and show you the constraining element for the selected one.
I really can't find a sinlgle dimension constraining this wall, but currently the wall is at 7'-11 177/256", and I really want to move it to 8'-0". It just won't give me any controls that would allow me to do that.
I'm hoping that someone on here will have the right idea to get this done.
Nope, I had that screw up a previous project, so in this project I made very sure not to build the model that way. Instead I reference the CAD I used for schematic design, and then built the Revit model for DD and made decisions there. In this particular case I could've sworn that the wall was actually at the 8'-0" mark at one point. But I don't know, maybe one of my team members nudged it a bit. but no dimension I have tried adding, or found connected to the wall will allow me to move it. Like I said, I wish there was a way to right-click and say: "Take me to your constraining item." I could imagine this working similarly to the Set Workplane tool, and watch as it offers me the Views to find the constraint in.
