Walls always move Other Walls?

Is there a shortcut or option that will allow walls that interfere with other walls to not auto-move them? I am using walls to create a chimney and need to move the top walls but each time I move them it moves the bottom walls as well.

I have to separate the geometry completely the then put it back. I am posting because this seems like a tideous process and wondering if there is an option I haven't come across....

Edit: Even when Geometry is not touching the upper and lower walls still move together:

This feature is also good in general because often walls get moved around without meaning. This happens often when modeling.

I know I can check the "Disallow Join" but I need this if I am making a chain of walls I want joined.

Why not create a stack wall for this condition? when you move the wall, the top portion will move with it.

There isn't a "Disallow Join" for top and bottom automatic joins anyway.

The manual method would be to put a Check in the Disjoin option in the options bar of the move command:

This is a good solution. Thanks.
