Wall Top Constraint from Depth to Height

Hello. I am having problems when placing walls, I want to change constraints option from depth to height but for one reason Revit doesn't seem to let me. Help appreciated.Thanks

That happens when you create Structural walls. My uneducated guess is that when you draw a structural wall at a level, Revit assumes the wall is to support this level, hence its top cannot be at a different level.

You can either live with that and change the top constraint after the fact, or create the wall using Architectural wall tool, and change it to Structural later.

As you can see in my screencast, I selected Architectural wall not structural and I cannot change from depth to height constraint..

OK. I found out.

I was using a wall-type with the function set to Foundation- which automatically defaults to depth when drawings. If I use the exterior wall function (for example) then I regain the option to draw walls with the height/depth option. It appears that exterior walls by default will draw to height.
