Wall Sweep - Stone Coping Cap

I have downloaded this to use to finish off the tops of walls but not sure how to use it as, once loaded as a group, I get a message I'm unsure about whether yes or no?

Also, as I am still trying to get to grips with Revit wondered how I make the coping longer to cover what I need?  I have just positioned it roughly in place but need it to span over the blockwork and steel column on the inside.  I've looked at the model and don't seem to easily be able to adjust anything unless that's me ( no doubt it is!! ).

I've attached the file of the coping stone.

Also where is it best to position a wall sweep for the coping?  Which view, I mean?  I don't seem to be able to do it in plan.

When working with wall sweeps, you can create it two ways:

Method 1:

Use the Wall Sweep command in the Architecture Tab of the Ribbon.  This will require you create a wall reveal profile (just a simply polyline in the shape of the coping you want) and load this into the Project before using the Wall Sweep command.  When using the wall sweep command, duplicate the default one and change the profile used to the one you just loaded.  This method will give you the ability to place the sweep on the top of the wall and adjust the ends of the coping (sweep) via grips.

Method 2:

Load your custom profile into your project.  Go to the wall you want to place it on.  Go to Type Properties and click Edit under Structure.  Switch view to section.  Select Sweeps.  Add a new sweep and specify profile to be used and exact location.  Same grip adjustments are available after you use this method too.

@dzanta is right, 

What you could do is open the file, identify the profile you want to use and then import it in your project.

(if the profile is integrated as a wall type sweep, select the wall, edit type properties, then edit structure, CHANGE THE VIEW TO SECTION IN ORDER TO HAVE ACCESS TO THE SWEEEPS TOOL, and in the sweeps window you will be able to identify the right profile family).

Or if you want to use the same type of wall, open the file and your project and in your project, go to Manage > Settings > Transfer project standards. Pick the elements you want to transfer and then edit the wall type to your convenance.

Using this particular already drawn coping, I don't have access to editing it in the way you said.

I just don't seem to be able to `stretch` the profile at all. There is no buttons available to change the profile shape?

Thanks.  I have now amended my profile to suit the thickness of wall - I am inserting it over a wall I drew separately so that I can use it on any wall I wish, hope that is ok?.  However, I do not seem to be able to align the profile over the wall properly and once positioned I cannot move the profile at all.  Is there something I should be doing or a tab that I need to see in order to allow the move to work?

If you are using method 1 I described earlier, you will be limited in the placement on the wall (it is because of how the profile was drawn based on the insertion point).

If you are using method 2 I described earlier, you have more flexibility in the placement of the profile/sweep.

You can use the Model Line command to draw a model line exactly where you want on the top of the wall and use the Wall Sweep command to place it on that Model Line...this might make creating the wall sweep easier in regards to exact placement.

Alternatively, you can use the Roof Fascia command with your custom profile to place it on the Model Line that is on the wall.

If you've applied it within a wall type's structure, then there are parameters there for offset.

If you've applied it using the Wall Sweep tool, then it is positioned according to the origin (where the reference lines cross) in the family, and can only be offset by editing the profile family itself and positioning it they way you want relative to that origin.

I have now changed the profile to cover what I need.  However, when I position the top left horizontal sweep it is placed too far over the wall.  I have been able to create the 3 bits of coping, just can't work out why I can't get the last one in the right place.  Also, the coping is sloping inwards to the flat roof, when I try to change the top left coping to a brand new coping ( to see if I can get it aligned better ) the slope is in the opposite direction and I can't remember how I got it to change.  Seem to be able to flip the coping upside down only.

Help!

go back into the Edit Assembly window and then into the Sweeps window to adjust the positioning of the profile being used.  There is also the flip control within this sweep window as well.
