Wall sweep in wall type Attach top

Fingers and eyes crossed someone can help!!

I have created a wall type with a basic horizontal cladding sweep. Problem i am having is that i can Attach top/base the wall to a roof but the sweep does not cut with it. please refer to image attached. I have tried overlapping sweeps but the roof apex just looks rubbish!!!

Is there any hope???????

Thank you for taking the time to read/think about this.

Ben

Try using the profile as a wall reveal instead of a wall sweep.

The wall reveal does interact with the wall when attached to the roof;

Maybe create an extra layer on your wall type to create the same materialproperties.Reveal2.pngReveal1.png

As alternative solution mentioned by @Erense , you can create the reveals inside the wall itself.

You also could consider to not model it at all and just use a material instead.

Please mention Revit version, especially when uploading Revit files.

Try Editing the Profile of the Gable Wall instead of Attaching it.

Morning Edwin,

Perfect matey, created a quick blocky reveal to test and it does work.... just have to make a detailed one now 8O)

Funny thing Revit, I honestly thought a sweep was the way forward and hadn't even considered a reveal.

Attached is an image for anyone else who is interested.

Anyway, Thank you,

Ben

Thanks Louis,

Yes the reveal worked. Had used a material before but really wanted some shadow to be cast with the cladding to give it a better render.

Cheers for helping
