Hello friends,
I have a wall who's surface pattern is not appearing in 2D Elevation:
You'll notice the pattern is a drafting pattern which means it should show up only in 2D views. The ironic part, it appears in 3D!
Does anyone have any idea what this could be? Perhaps a glitch? Or am I missing something...
FYI:
I am using Revit 2018.
No Visual Graphic Overrides for walls have been applied in the View Template, other than a Projection Line override. No Depth Cueing has been applied.
Thank you!
Looks like you are cutting through it --- not in front of it. Move your cut plane away from the wall.
As for the pattern showing in 3D...perhaps someone painted the wall with a material with a model pattern?
Hmmm just checked the elevation marker and confirmed the cut plane is not cutting through anything ![]()
Tried removing the paint, if there was one on there, none could be found.
UPDATE: Tried creating a new elevation view and the surface pattern appears... Hoping to fix the current view only cause adjusting the datums will be a complete mess.
Perhaps this is a glitch...?
I created a new elevation. This allowed for the surface pattern to appear.
Duplicating the view didn't solve the issue.
I've had views become corrupt before, but never over something like this. Out of curiosity, does Reveal Hidden Elements show anything?
...
Can't believe it! It was a manual Graphic Override!
Simple problems must always have a simple solution I guess. *embarassed*
Thank you so much for your help!
