I am trying to get accurate wall layer schedules from Revit. I believe the way Revit works is that is takes a centreline measurement of the wall buildup rather than taking a centreline measurement of each layer. Example: If I have a wall with an overall thickness of 327.5mm with the following thickness external to internal
The centreline is 163.75.
Is there a way to measure that within the brick schedule it measures to the centreline of brick and same for insulation and block?
Just being curious: why would you want to measure to centerline of brick?
You are correct that Revit will give SF based of the CL of the wall not the layers. In the image @bill_gilliss posted the SF of brick is the same as gypsum, even though one has more exterior corners. Usually I find this close enough for estimating, but if you are trying to get it closer than you can divide the walls into parts and then to materials on the parts.
