Hi all,
Currently I am using revit in the office at the moment and everything was perfectly fine. However, I recently encountered a problem when I simply copy clip a wall and then paste it onto the sixth floor of my building. The wall appears to split in two for no reason and other elements can pasted onto the floor with no problem at all. If anyone could give any help asap, it would be greatly appreciated!
There is another wall there. Unhide hidden elements, turn on all worksets, check other phases.
Multiple Possible Reason
1. Check any other element in other phase and option as suggested in the previous reply.
2. hidden elements like wall, room bounding lines, cut geometry located in other families ( downloaded..etc )
3. Any other wall intersecting from level below.
4. check for the "Warning " errors in Revit and it should give you some hint.
5. Move the wall and see whats causing error.
Cheers ToanDN, I tried turning on the visibility graphics to see if anything was intersecting it but unfortunately no luck. However, I did move the wall as suggested and was promted by the following messages:
"Can't obtain permission to edit the element: The Central Model is inaccessible. You can check out worksets at risk, but consider carefully!"
"Highlighted elements are joined but do not intersect."
Any idea as to what may be the problem?
@Anonymous hello, you're working with worksets file so you need to collaborate > synchronize with central before you can see the changes. thanks
alernatively if it is a single file you need to detach from central file and discard worksets and saveas the file to a new name.
