How do I make my wall corners default to 'squared off', rather than having to use 'wall joins' to modify every corner?
Currently my corners look wacky and I have to use 'wall joins' modification on every exterior corner. See attached image.

Here is another example. The top walls defaults to wacky 'butt' joins. The bottom walls default to 'square off' joins.
How do I get all my walls to default to 'square off' joins, so I don't have to use the 'wall joins' tool on every single corner.
I have run through all the properties and type properties on both walls and can't find any setting that effects the corners.
What is your wall assembly's layer function order? If you order them properly then the walls should not join like what you show.
Why don't you Miter the corners using the Wall Join Tool on the Modify Tab?
Do you see something wrong in my assembly?
This is the assembly I've been using for years and it's worked until now, version 2023.
I was hoping you were onto something but changing one of the finish 1 layers to finish 2 didn't work.
I have 'join status' turned to 'allow' when drawing the walls.

How did the walls become unjoined? Did you purposely disallow auto-join? If not, then your Options Bar Join Status must read "Disallow". Change it.
Okay new discovery: It's only on walls with a 'Base Extension Distance' greater than 0' AND when the 'View Depth' & 'Bottom' in the 'View Range' is set to 'Unlimited'.
Given that it is happening in what I'll call a unique or uncommon scenario, I'm going to manually 'wall joins' all my corners and move on with life.
I have attached a file to illustrate it if you're curious to see what I'm seeing.
Thanks for your input everyone.
