Wall Join

Hello everyone

it seems that I am not able to control the wall join order. I tried dragging and trimming both walls different ways but it didnt work for me. Also used the wall join tool and i could not change the join order.

The desired joni order in in the attached sketch bellow.

Any help?

You want to see the split line? like not join the insulation? something like the below?

If yes...then you need to

  1. Change Layers Function in one wall (ie: 2 different functions would not join and leave you that split line)
  2. Use a duplicate material (Same asset just different material name)

Below I changed functions

@RDAOU Actually, I dont get the explanation, why I have to change the layer functions in order to achive the result you have in your image.

The visible line is not really important, its actually better for all the layers to be continious only, the pink layer must end where it ends in your image.

Normally You would use the Wall Join tool to change the type of BUTT JOIN.... but in some cases that does not work. (Wall too short, Layers unlocked, too many joins in one place,,,etc)

Therefore...in such case, you need to change the layer functions because Wall layers join based on Hierarchy & layer Function then By Material...

Setting it to Substrate...will prevent it from extending to join with the Structure Function of the lateral wall
