Wall Join Problem

If someone has time to look at the attached file, is it possible to have the 3 wall types on the left join together as shown on the right with detail lines? I've been experimenting with different layer priority settings but can't seem to get it, especially at the clouded area. Thank you!

Disjoin everything, trim lower and right, then upper and right, try wall joint command until correct result.

One of your walls was built inside out.  IE: exterior finishes on the inside, and interior on the exterior.  Also your wall priorities were different than I use.  I changed them up.  Seems to be working for me now.

Check your wall priorities too.  This has great info on what they should be set to.

The meat of it is this: 

  • Structure [1]: Layer that supports the remainder of the wall, floor, or roof.
  • Substrate [2]: Material, such as plywood or gypsum board, which acts as a foundation for another material.
  • Thermal/Air Layer [3]: Provides insulation and prevents air penetration.
  • Membrane Layer: A membrane that commonly prevents water vapor penetration. The membrane layer should have zero thickness.
  • Finish 1 [4]: Finish 1 is typically the exterior layer.
  • Finish 2 [5]: Finish 2 is typically for the interior layer.
