Wall hosted and floor hosted family

Hi everyone,

I have a quick consultation.

Is there a conflict or issue if I create a wall hosted family, and then the same family as a floor hosted version. Then place them both in the same project?

Thanks for the help.

... not at all

... you can do both as long as you rename each one in a different family template

... different names and different family templates

Maybe it would be better to make one family that is FACE hosted instead?

It would not cause a problem to have 2 different ones, but depending on how you made the 2 families, you might have trouble if you wanted to update them. If you have 2 families you would either need to use nested families or make the same update 2x.

If you have one face based family, it could be used in both situations and then only have to be updated in one place.
