Wall hatch and dimension problem

Hi all,

I have 2 questions to make.

  1. In my template walls should appear with a diagonal hatch

But still they are appearing as the snipping shot shows.

How can I fix that?

  1. I made a tag family to have the name and dimensions of the wall.

I order to be clearer, I added some dimensions. You will notice that the tags and dimensions do not match.

If I pick the walls the temporary dim matches with the tag but it starts measures from the middle of the attached wall.

Any ideas?

I guess it's because of one of the pattern is drafting and the other is model, thus one will follow the wall direction while the other one stays the same... Maybe just use one drafting pattern?

The second issue, you can try to right-click on the blue dot and use Disallow Join. Please let me know you find a better solution. :leicht_lächelndes_Gesicht:

Hi,

Check you're pattern alignment orientation => orient to view or align with element (Cut is always a draft fill)

Check this in the material set in the WallType, I think the override Inherits the alignment.

The walllength reported is from endpoint to endpoint, disallow join for this as mentioned by @bin

Or use columns for those and not walls.

For the hatch of the wall, I realized I had 2 parameters.

  1. Through Template

  1. And another one through the material library

I decided to keep only the parameter from the Template.

I picked the wall\Edit Type \Edit\Structural Material: changed from Diagonal pattern to No Pattern.

As for the second query…of course it was the unjoin think!
