Wall finish height

Hi,

Is there any way to end the finish of a wall in a specific height?

For example, I have a bathroom wall with ceramics up to half of the wall height.

Thanks!

Amit

Hi @Anonymous

You can create a stacked wall or create to types of walls the one of then is only the finish itself.

Edit Assembly for the compound layered wall, and unlock the pad locks on the finish material layer. You do that through a section view and using Modify in Edit Assembly mode.  Once unlocked, you will have an additional parameter available under the Wall's Instance Properties that you can enter a negative or positive extension value.

...sorry @Anonymous, I think I misread. You want to use Split Region to create a Finish Layer of Variable Materials

Most of these may have already been mentioned, but--

-One way is to model a separate thin tile wall, placed over the backup wall--just like in the real world.

Use Join Geometry to cut at door/window openings if required.

-Split-Face and Paint a Material is another way, but be careful as wall join edits can "delete" the split faces.

- Stacked Wall is another possibility

- Unlock compound wall layer and drag it up/down is another method.

- Use Parts, Divide Parts and then apply a different material is another more complicated method.

...Got another: say your tile wainscot is 54" high x 1/4" thick -- then you could apply a wall sweep using a 54" x 1/4" Profile.
