Wall cutting Issue and visibility once wall is cut

Hi all,

Can someone tell me why REVIT LT decides to blank out a single wall (like it's in course view once I have added an additional profile the wall to make a hole in the wall? This only specifically happens when the walls base constraint starts on the level below and I attach to roof 2 levels up.

As indicated on the image viewing on level 2. The red ring has the issue where I have attached the wall to the roof which is base constraint is on level 0 and I get a blank wall.

Also, it does not do the above problem if I use the geometry cut command, however as this is LT you cannot create something to be cutting piece easily.

While I have found a workaround by coping the wall to the upper level as shown in green. Just want to know why it happens.

I am in detailed view.

Thanks,

Is this what you are referring to? [Level 1 walls attached to roof in screenshot.]

What is the Unconnected Height of the wall?

Hi Bradley,

No, my issue is when I have cut out a small section of the wall. Once it's done and cut the plan view of the whole wall is blank like its course view and not fine view like the rest of them in the project.

If I copy the wall from below onto the level where I want to cut it instead of doing one long length then the wall looks how it should do.

Quick video. It's a viewing problem in plan of the wall. Thanks

Hi Dude,

That's what the problem was.

The unconnected height has to be higher even if the wall attaches to a roof above the level or height it's connected too.

Thanks!
