Wall connection

I'm a little confused about how to fix this wall connection.

Several possibilites 

Option 1: Move all layers into the core and set the two brick layers to same Function & Priority

Option 2: Keep it as is >> Disallow Joins >> Align and Join Geometry Manually (See GIF Below)
