Any idea what would cause a wall cleanup to display differently between two identical views?
Same wall, same model, two individual floor plan views. I can apply the same view template to both views, no change. I *do* have matching base extensions on both walls at the corner, if that makes a difference.
Selection box is shown below. The wall structure is shown below as well. The view planes are the same.
I can separate the walls in both views and reconnect them, and they clean up the same way in each view. The wall does this at all 4 corners, not just this corner.
They do not clean up properly in the selection box at any level. I do have a stud wall with siding above the brick veneer wall, separated horizontally. That wall cleans up fine. But moving down through the veneer wall, it does not. I checked the cut plane for both view, and they are the same. I assigned both views the same template, and nothing changed. I can duplicate both views, and the cleanups display the same in each respective view.
Its must be something view specific, but wouldn’t assigning the same template to both view force both to have the same settings?
Selection box, moving from top down, is shown below.
That is the line of the wall above, as I mentioned. But the wall that is not cleaning up properly is one wall. It is not a stacked wall.
I have a 2x6 framed wall on a 2x6 framed wall with brick veneer on a slab on a CMU stem wall. All basic walls, not stacked walls.
So where does the condition below occur? I don't see it in any of your 3d shots.
Have you tried to use the Wall Joins tool? at the corner? Or grip stretch one wall back and forth a bit until it re-snap to the other wall end?
-Try placing (2) new walls off to the side ( not touching any other model elements ).
-Make them with the same height/constraints as the ones that won't clean up.
-Make sure that Join Status is set to Allow when placing the new walls.
Do they clean up correctly?
Hey guys, thanks for the help. I just copied my annotations, nuked the view, duplicated the view showing the correct cleanups, applied the proper view template, and pasted the annotation back in. Nothing else was working. So, problem fixed but maybe not solved.
To follow up, I created two new walls, joined dragged them together, and they cleaned up as expected in the plan view showing the correct cleanups and did not clean up in the plan view showing them not cleaning up. However, in the 3D view, they are not cleaning up and I suspect this condition will rear its head again.
Testing the wall join options, the butt option only has two solutions and the miter a single solution.
Its really really strange.
