Frustrated newbie hear trying to figure out how walls,beams,columns and slabs work in REVIT ( trying to self learn through youtube tutorials)
I am trying to draft one of my old academic projects (15 storied housing) in REVIT to get a hang of it and update my portfolio.
To try and get the hang of REVIT, i started drafting out a simple room with 4 columns at the corners and framed with beams and a slab at floor and top level. I have used structural columns, structural beams and structural floor families. The problems I am facing are shown in the screenshot below.
Since I am new to the workflow, am I making a mistake using structural columns, structural beams and structural floor families which is causing these problems? Should I use architectural columns and floors instead?
