I'm trying to create a wall assembly or group that allows for the functionality of a wall (adding windows/doors, wall schedules, tagging, ect) but that is a part of an assembly that includes a 7/16" gap surrounding the wall panel. The dimensions of the wall panel need to remain static.
I use a plugin that takes the wall dimensions and populates the panel framing automatically. I'm running into problems when I need to flip/align/rotate the assembly (or group, I've tried both) as you can see the 7/16" generic model (I've used line based generic models as well) around the panel does not rotate with the assembly as it is supposed to. The panel itself needs to be of the wall system Revit family because of the plugin requirements.
Any suggestions to a new approach would be appreciated.
