Wall art (framed or unframed pictures) in Revit interior design

I am new to Revit and never used CAD before. I can not find any component in Revit family (wall hosted) that I could use to place wall art image in? Any recommendations ?

Thank you ! It is just what I needed ! The only problem is canvas wall art, what I use mostly, are not flat and about 1''-2'' thick. How can I achieve that with using decal ?

  • First , create some Frame Profiles as Family>Profile
  • then create a new parametric Family by Face :
    1. make an Extrusion for the canvas,
    2. then a Sweep that use the canvas border as Path and one of the Profile Families as Profile
    3. you can also create a white border around the painting as a small Extrusion on the face of Canvas (made in step 1). On this exterior Face  will be placed the Decal in Project
  • load the Family by Face into the Project and place it on a Wall Face..
  • place Decal on face created in 3. - as shown in my screencast

Thank you for the details ! I think I understood about how to use decals now.

In case if I do not want to use frames at all. I need to achieve look of just canvas art 1' - 2'' deep ?

Please look at photos in attachments. How to do it better, easier and faster ? I also need to be able to specify offset in feet from the floor and easily move position of the art on the wall if or when needed. I am finding Revit overall easy and useful for big complex things in architecture but difficult and uncomfortable for what supposed to be fast and easy.
