Wall and Structure Framing Join

Hi everyone! I'm not sure how many of you are experiencing this issue, but if anyone has found a solution, please share.

We have blockwork walls in architecture and structural framing in the Structure file, and when linked, the walls are clashing with the structural framing. The wall heights need to be adjusted to the bottom of the slab or framing. I've attached an image for reference.

One of our team members has started editing the walls by profile to exclude the framing part.

Would this be considered best practice?

also, what will be the best practice for this type of work.

This is what he was doing.

We've done the same thing on different projects, at the client's (construction company's) requeriment, but only at a very advanced stage where you know the architecture isn't going to change any further, so we can take exact measurements.

In my opinion, this shouldn't be considered a best practice, and Autodesk should provide a solution to subtract or join beam sections from walls between linked models.

A better practice would be to copy the beams from the structural model to the architectural model, in a closed workset so that it is not visible in any view, and join the beams with the walls so that it is automatically subtracted.
