I'm trying to calculate volumes for tank bunds which have concrete plinths inside 1m Sq x 400mm high plinths inside. When i use the tag room command to give me volume on a tag, the volume is the same whether the plinths are there or not, so the volume function is not subtracting the plinths.
I am using a floor slab to create the plinths and just set them on the overall floor - these plinth slabs are 'room bounding'
Any ideas on how to get the volume function to recognize these plinths

Hi,
In the Area and volume computations, make sure to select Area and volumes for volume computations.

thanks for the reply
Yeah I had that option turned on alright - but still no luck
In section view Check for the room upper and lower limit and verify that it overlay the slabs,
Can you send a section snap shot with color fill legend to verify.
ok I've found a solution, with help from your suggestion
I needed to use the create room command from the top down - so I needed to set limits differently. .
Thanks again
I also got some inspiration from here http://blogs.rand.com/architectural/2012/10/unique-volume-calculations-in-revit.html
